MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE AND BEYOND *********************** A divine person came to the house one day when Nirmala was nine or ten months old. Nirmala crawled towords him & started smiling looking at him. What he saw in Nirmala he only knew ! But he raised her up with emotion & reverence & put her feet on his head. He then put her on the lap of Mokshada Sundari& said, ‘What you aer seeing is the Mother of the universe & beyond’. Thus saying he disappeared. Mother clasped the child to her chest in astonishment.******************** There are congregations singing kirtans (hymns in praise of God to the accompaniment of cvmbal, Khol—a type of drum & harmonium) in one place or another in the village. Mokshada Sundari used to attend them will the child in her lap. The child’s body often went into a motionless statewhen she heard songs in praise of Hari. Mother thiking the child was peobably asleep tried to wake her up. Some who could, did unders- tand the unusual statse of the childe others did not. Still on the whole, everybody immensely liked the child. She grew up in such a beautiful environment.***********************************************
