She knew everything. “Mother, I am having this dream night about a beautiful lady who is telling me she is may mother, & that she wants me to come to India. What does it mean?” My mother looked at me pensively, shocked, & yet not shocked to hear such things come from my mouth. She was accustomed to hearing her unusual boy say the most mysterious things. I was boy who had mastered Chopin & who was reading The Ilind & The Odyssey at the age of ten, & who was obsessed with resding the Ramayana over again. “You must always pay attention to your dreams, my son,” she wisely said. “This woman is your.
